As a aquatic plant, indoor bamboo needs adequate water to grow well. You shoul always keep an eye on the water level in the container to ensure that the roots are submerged in the water for at least one inch. In prior to watering the plants, you should purify water first to remove extra fluoride and chlorine in it. Distilled water would be a good choice. You should avoid over watering them and once a week should be adequate.

Sunlight is another important factor for the growth of your bamboo plants. They should grow under normal temperature in your house and some sunlight will facilitate their growth. Remember to avoid putting the plants in excessive sunlight. Their leaves will become yellow if they are put in direct sunlight for a long time. Apart from that, occasional fertilizing is also necessary for the bamboo plants. However, over fertilizing will cause the leaves to be yellow and you need to apply some diluted food to resolve the issue. It is recommended that the plants should be fertilized for every two months.
