The Ford Edge is available in SE, SEL, Limited and Sport trims. The SE gets 17-inch alloy wheels, full power accessories, air-conditioning, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and a six-speaker CD player with an auxiliary audio jack. The SEL gets 18-inch wheels, automatic headlights, rear parking sensors, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, upgraded cloth upholstery, a six-way power driver seat, satellite radio and a trunk-mounted second-row folding seat release.
The Limited features leather seating, a 10-way power driver seat with memory settings, a power front passenger seat, heated front seats, the MyFord Touch interface, Ford Sync, two USB inputs, a rearview camera and a premium Sony audio system with HD radio. The Sport trim is similar with the Limited trim, with additional 22-inch wheels, a sport-tuned suspension and transmission paddle shifter.
The Edge SE, SEL and Limited trims are powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 which produces 285 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque and is mated with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Edge Sport uses a 3.7-liter V-6 which produces 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque and is mated with a six-automatic transmission and a manual shift control. All trims perform front-wheel drive, with a choice of all-wheel drive for the SE.
The EPA fuel economy for a front-wheel drive 3.5-liter engine is 19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined. The all-wheel drive engine gives 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway and 21 mpg highway. Meanwhile, the Sport trim has 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined for the front-wheel drive engine, and 17 mpg city, 23 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined with all-wheel drive engine.
The SE price tag starts at MSRP $27,640. The SEL price tag starts at MSRP $30,650. The Limited price tag starts at MSRP $34,650, while the Sport price tag starts at MSRP $36,925.
