Ask 411 Music 6.23.11: Britney's Sexual Exploits And More

This past weekend was my town's annual "Taste" event. I am sure your town or a town near you has something similar where the local restaurants gets spots and you can go from tent to tent trying out foods for less than $5. It was a great time. I went into food coma stuffed with ribs, ice cream, grilled corn on the cob, kabobs, eggrolls and pizza. To celebrate, five songs from my iPod about food. After collaborating on "Natural Born Killaz" in 1994 for the Murder Was the Case soundtrack, DRE and CUBE announced that they were going to do a whole album together, working under the title Helter Skelter . I assume that's what you're talking about. They just got busy. Dr. Dre left DEATH ROW RECORDS for AFTERMATH and become one of the top producers in the industry. Ice Cube went into movies and eventually family friendly TV. They never found the time for it. Here's the story. In 2003, FRED DURST was supposedly tapped to help BRITNEY write songs for her upcoming album. This pre-Spears meltdown and right in the middle of LIMP BIZKIT's fall from grace. Durst claims to have had a thing for Spears and wrote her a sweet letter. Britney, at first, walked out but came back hours later wearing a see through top with no bra claiming she wanted to "hang out" with Durst. One thing led to another and before you know it, he had Spears riding the baloney pony. That's his story. Spears denies it ever happened. Durst has been claiming this happened for years, but let's take a look at the facts. He claims to not remember what he wrote in the note. Durst also has instigated several "feuds" and has had a sex tape of him leaked (supposedly by a computer repairman). These are all signs of someone trying to stay in the public eye anyway possible. I am surprised he hasn't shown up in any Celebreality programming. Some people think the tradition started with NEIL DIAMOND in 1972 with his song "Let Me Turn on Your Heartlight." Others pinpoint it at a Los Angeles concert for THE DOORS in 1967, obviously coinciding with their megahit "Light Your Fire." However, most people from the time period (who remember anything from that time period) seem to indicate one source. It's a little known concert that I like to call WOODSTOCK. In fact, they narrow it down to one performer. MELANIE took the stage at Woodstock for a half hour set at 10:50 PM in the pouring rain on August 15, 1969.
