Three arrested on federal meth charges

Cooper, Hawkins and Nickols were all charged under federal indictments for conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine. They were transported to a detainment facility in Lewistown and were to appear in federal court in Peoria on Friday.

VanBrooker said the arrest warrants stem from an ongoing investigation and resulted in information law enforcement obtained in connection with an incident last October when a methamphetamine lab was found in the bed of a pickup truck in Good Hope.

Fr. James Farfaglia is the pastor of St. Helena of the True Cross of Jesus Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. Visit Father James on the web at www.fatherjames.org. St. Augustine was once confronted by a pagan leader who showed him his idol and said, "Here is my god; where is yours?" Augustine replied, "I cannot show you my God; not because there is no God to show but because you have no eyes to see him." The mystery of the Blessed Trinity is clearly revealed to us throughout the New Testament.  Howe […] A number of years ago I was invited to give a retreat to a group of lay people in New York City.  A seminarian graciously accompanied me in order to help with the practical details.  Prior to the evening retreat, we had a number of appointments, and so that meant that we would have lunch in New York.  The seminarian really enjoyed Asian cuisine, so I accommo […] What is Heaven?  Without a doubt, Heaven is a place difficult to describe.  We cannot begin to understand it because Heaven belongs to the mystery of faith. In the Gospels, Jesus speaks of this mystery through images.  He calls it the kingdom, a place of life, light and peace.  He refers to it as a wedding feast, the Father’s house, the heavenly Jerusalem an […] Recently I began to reflect on the first time I was on a plane.  It was 1980 and I had just finished my first two years of seminary training for the Catholic priesthood and now I was being sent to Spain for my third year of seminary.  The flight was from New York to Madrid and I was so excited.  I was thrilled about flying for the first time and I was eager […] "They call you Christ, Vishnu, Buddha, Jehovah, Our Lord.  You are Govindam, Bismillah, Creator of All.  You are the One, no matter what."  These are the words that George Harrison sang in his 1981 song "Life Itself" recorded on the album "Somewhere in England".  The lyrics denote a common belief that all religions are equal and […] Getting directions from someone when you are lost can be a frustrating experience.  Perhaps you scramble for a piece of paper to scribble a few indications like "go right at the light and then take your first left".  Maybe the person who gives you directions is wrong, and instead of a right, you should have taken a left. Sometimes you come across a […] There is something in the Gospel of Saint John that I never understood.  Why did Mary Magdalen think that the Risen Jesus was the gardener?  Gardener?  What’s the deal?  “Supposing him to be the gardener…” (John 20: 15). Think of a place on earth that is very, very hot.  Think of a time when there were no washing machines; no dry cleaners; no Malls to buy cl […] Had Jesus of Nazareth been a Roman or a Greek, certainly his contemporaries would have left behind statues in his honor.  However, because the Jews had a strict understanding of idolatry, their interpretation of the Mosaic Law did not allow them to make any images whatsoever of any human person. It would have been interesting if we had been left something th […] “ I don’t need organized religion to be a good person,” is the usual response that I get when I knock at random on the doors of the homes around my parish. When I agree that they do not need organized religion to be a good person, people are taken aback.   Catholics are not called to be good people; we are called to be saints.  “I have been crucified with Ch […] Many, many moons ago when I was a missionary in Mexico, friends would offer me a little bit of tequila after a delicious meal in their homes.  Due to its’ strong taste, I never indulged and politely I would excuse myself. However, in recent years, I have acquired a gusto for tequila and I really enjoy a little bit after lunch or dinner, more often and dinner […] Even though many still deny their very existence, the fact is… in 1954 the most powerful men in the world met for the first time under the auspices of the Dutch royal crown and the Rockefeller family in the luxurious Hotel Bilderberg of the small Dutch town of Oosterbeck. For an entire weekend they debated the future of the world. When it was over, they decided to meet once every year to exchange ideas and analyze international affairs. Bilderberg founding member and, for 30 years, a steering committee member, Denis Healey said, “To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair. Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn’t go on forever fighting one another for nothing and killing people and rendering millions homeless. So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing.” Shrewd and calculating, their hearts are filled with lust for power and consumed by greed for money.  Rich and aristocratic, they despise Christians and they loathe the lowly working class. They control the world’s press and virtually all our banks and financial institutions. They screen and choose who America’s leaders will be and even determine who will run on the Democratic and Republican Party tickets. Among the elitist membership or attendees at Bilderberg meetings is David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Lloyd Bentsen, Helmut Kohl, Prince Charles, Prince Juan Carlos I of Spain, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, Katharine Graham, Alice Rivlin, Gerald Ford, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Dan Quayle, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin L. Powell, John Edwards, Bill Bradley, Bill Richardson, Christopher Dodd, Dianne Feinstein, Kathleen Sebelius, Alexander Haig, Ralph E. Reed, George Stephanopoulos, William J McDonough (former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York), U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner, George Soros, Paul Volcker & Alan Greenspan (former Chairman of the Federal Reserve), Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, World Bank president Robert Zoellick, H. J. Heinz II (CEO of H. J. Heinz Company), Peter A. Thiel (Co-Founder, PayPal), Eric E. Schmidt (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Google), Lloyd Blankfein (CEO of Goldman Sachs), Rupert Murdoch, Donald E. Graham (Chairman of the Board of The Washington Post Company), William F. Buckley, Jr. (founder of National Review and former host of Firing Line), Peter Jennings, George Will, Lesley Stahl, Bill D. Moyers, and many others. The list includes prominent persons in politics, the military, financial institutions, major corporations, academia, and the media. Why are the Davos World Economic Forum and G8 meetings carried in every newspaper, given front page coverage, with thousands of journalists in attendance, while no one covers Bilderberg Club meetings even though they are annually attended by Presidents of the International Monetary Fund, The World Bank, Federal Reserve, chairmen of 100 most powerful corporations in the world such as DaimlerChrysler, Coca Cola, British Petroleum, Chase Manhattan Bank, American Express, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Vice Presidents of the United States, Directors of the CIA and the FBI, General Secretaries of NATO, American Senators and members of Congress, European Prime Ministers and leaders of opposition parties, top editors and CEOs of the leading newspapers in the world. “We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.
