Philadelphia Area Credit Unions Hit The Links For Children's Hospital Of ...

The event, which is organized annually in memory of Michael F. Ambrose, Jr., was sponsored by 23 Pennsylvania credit unions, including Freedom, and 32 other organizations. These organizations included the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association, Vanguard Direct, The Standard Group, Harland Clarke, Obee & Associates, Enterprise Car Sales, Southwest Business Corporation, CUNA Mutual, Sterling Credit Corporation and many more. 

Freedom Credit Union President & CEO Lee T. MacMinn, and Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer John F. King, along with Craig McClure of Fiserv and Jack Cunningham of ProForma, have served as Golf Outing committee members for the past 25 years, organizing the charity event with great success in both participation and fundraising. To date, the Golf Outing has raised $190,000 for The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. 

MacMinn said, “The Golf Outing is a great opportunity for credit unions in the Philadelphia area to work together to raise necessary dollars for important research.  CHOP’s commitment to helping kids is one that local credit unions are proud to support.”
